We started with a promise to the dogs the world gave up on.
When we launched PROTCL PETS, we decided that being "just a business" wasn't enough. We aren't here to report to shareholders; we are here to support the rescuers, the fosters, and the dogs waiting for a second chance.
We are a social enterprise. That means we don't wait until we are comfortable to give back. From our very first sale, our mission is baked into our bank account. We are just starting our journey, but our commitment is already set in stone: half of what we make goes to the animals who need it most.
In Australia, thousands of healthy dogs are running out of time.
Every year across the country, roughly 200,000 dogs end up in shelters. Far too many of them never make it out. These aren't "bad" dogs. They are dogs like Firulais, our rescue Staffy-Great Dane who was abandoned three times and sat on death row because he was "too much to handle."
Rescue organisations are the only thing standing between these animals and a needle. These groups are almost always underfunded, overcapacity, and run by volunteers who are exhausted. They don't just need our thanks. They need the resources to keep their gates open and their bowls full.
50% of every dollar of profit.
We want to be completely direct about how this works. We aren't donating a tiny percentage of revenue or "selected items." We donate 50% of our total profit.
When you buy The Daily Protocol, your money first goes toward the honest costs of running a business. Once those expenses are covered and the business reaches a point of profit, every remaining dollar is split right down the middle. One half stays in the business so we can keep growing, and the other half goes directly to rescue partners.
As a new company, we don't have a massive donation total to brag about yet. But we do have a transparent system that ensures as we grow, the impact for Australian rescues grows exactly alongside us.
We are looking for the right hands to put this money into.
We are in the process of selecting our foundation rescue partners within Australia. We aren't focused on the size of the organisation; we are focused on the impact of their work. We want to find the people who are on the ground doing good, whether that is covering emergency vet bills, funding behavioural training, or simply providing a safe place for a dog to wait for their forever home.
